Why does the moon phase look slightly different from another app?
Luna Tide computes the moon phase and illumination percentage offline using the well-known days-since-new-moon method. It's accurate to within a few hours — great for everyday use, but not full ephemeris-grade precision like a professional observatory tool.
Does Luna Tide need an account?
No. There's no login, no account, and nothing to set up. Just allow location (optional) or search for any city.
Does Luna Tide work offline?
The Sky tab (moon phase, day length, golden hour) always works fully offline — it's pure on-device math. Weather, hourly forecast, and air quality need a network connection to refresh, but the last successful result is cached and shown instantly, with an "as of" timestamp, even with no connection.
What is the "Sea Level & Waves" card?
For coastal cities, Luna Tide shows real sea-level-height and wave data from Open-Meteo's marine API. It is not a full harmonic tide-table prediction with high/low tide times — we label it honestly as sea level & waves, not "tides".
